RAZZLE DAZZLE PANCAKE CO. | BRANDING
Concept project for Portland design studio
Razzle Dazzle Pancake Co. was a design challenge given to me by an awesome design studio I was applying to. Even though this work is fictitious I found the project to be fun and a good exercise.
Challenge
Create an identity system that would include their logo and home page telling their story. I went a little further to showcase how their brand could live. I was given the name Razzle Dazzle and a few details about the company as my starting point.
I created a logo, logo with tagline I wrote, logo symbol, designed a home page, tshirt, and restaurant front.
Here is how I saw their story ...
Razzle Dazzle Pancake Co.
The Blueberry Butter Makes the Batter Better
Razzle Dazzle has been Rachel and Daniel’s conduit to share the best the Pacific Northwest has to offer, in pancake form. Their new brand identity speaks to their quirky and fun personalities.
Razzle (Rachel) is the brains behind the business and Dazzle (Daniel) is the master chief and recipe wizard. With that we wanted a new identity that would speak to both sides while still holding onto their 28 years of successful pancake making.
Razzle Dazzle is a welcoming diner that has been serving seasonal and local ingredients pancakes since 1986. They began on Blueberry Mountain, Oregon. In 1990 they moved to Hillsboro, Oregon to expand their farm closer to the city and re-open their diner in Portland.
They focus on 100% seasonal ingredients from the Pacific Northwest, so their menu is always changing. Their signature blueberry butter is made with blueberries from the Razzle Dazzle Farm and continues to be their most popular item in the diner. As seen on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives, their blueberry butter turns any pancake into a yummy blue treat that everyone is guaranteed to love.
